In 1881, the Ernst Family laid claim to a piece of the Catskills, and Glen Falls House was born.
In the 1940s, the Sulger Family converted the farmstead into a resort, adding additional guest quarters, a tavern, shuffleboard and tennis courts, and a pool.
Ever since, Glen Falls House has been a popular destination for friends and families looking to get out of the city and into the great outdoors.
In 2017, Jonathan Picco and Greg Brier purchased Glen Falls House with the intent to celebrate its history and create new traditions. Extensive renovations and thoughtful design revitalized the property, guest amenities were modernized, and the duo brought fine dining to the woods with their seasonally-inspired kitchen - Trotwood.
Owners Jon and Greg have curated an eclectic, year-round Music & Arts Program that brings a NY-based community of artists upstate to perform and unwind.
The Catskills are experiencing a “New Renaissance” and Glen Falls House is excited to be part of its next chapter.
